Growing a Witch's Garden Whether you are Wiccan or Traditional, coven member or solitary, kitchen or hedge witch, a garden can be a powerful and vitalizing part of your magical practice. Growing herbs you will eventually make part of your spellwork allows you to build both a deep knowledge of and a relationship with those plants from the time they are embryos in the seed until they are mature and ready to harvest; this can add a great deal of power and focus to your work. Working in a magical garden builds skill and confidence in personal paths in magic as well as demonstrating how powerful outside forces are--you see the results of your own decisions but also of factors outside of your control. Folks often discuss how spirits are involved in initiation and guidance in witchcraft and other magical practices. Plant spirits can play those roles if you open yourself to their direction, and of course the garden is the perfect place for learning to communicate with these spirits.

To survive, our ancestors had to become astute observers of the natural world. The best way to untangle this mysterious language was by watching and remembering. Additionally, thinkers and philosophers began using nature as a means of explaining how things work. The Victorians loved plants, especially flower. They created little tussie-mussies bouquets that had special meanings woven in for the recipient. The Victorian Language of Flowers provided the source for interpreting this mysterious message. In this manner, the ever-proper Victorian society could convey worlds of meaning without saying a word! For the Goddess gardener, the Victorian Language of Flowers provides another set of correspondences that we can apply to our thematic Witch gardens.

The Witches Garden

Cassandra Nightingale Catherine Bell is settling in to Middleton as she renovates Grey House and its garden with a plan to turn it into a bed and breakfast to help make ends meet. Whilst some have accepted Cassie in to their community, especially Chief of Police Jake Russell Chris Potter and his children, others such as Martha Catherine Disher are a little more sceptical and she even wonders if Cassie is growing illegal plants at Grey House. But Cassie finds herself with a different problem altogether to deal with when Nick Chasen Rob Stewart arrives in town and at Grey House as after he is caught snooping around claims to rightfully own it. So far I have watched the 3rd to the 7th movie in the "Good Witch" franchise, yes I know not the best way to do it but strangely not a bad way either. For example in the "Good Witch" movies I have seen the character of George, played by Peter MacNeill, as being with Gwen but after now watching "The Good Witch's Garden" I get to see them coming together and it is quite cute when you know after they meet how things will end up. Basically watching "The Good Witch's Garden" after watching the later ones fills in the gaps in a puzzle which adds to its charm.

Something amazing is about to happen in the Bernice E.

Gardening is inherently a witchy act. Connecting with the land, encouraging dormant seeds to life, and tending to the green world is everyday magic in its most raw form. If you have a strong bond with your garden, and want to cultivate it in a spiritual way, look no further. When you garden, you bring extra life force to the area around your home. You help to create food for pollinators, which in turn allow us to grow food. You also provide homes for garden helpers like toads, snakes, and spiders, as well as fairies and garden gnomes. If you grow edible plants for yourself, then you care for your body—your temple—by feeding it healthy and nourishing plants.

Available in: P. WEB P.In the initial offering we learned that this mysterious, happy, calm lady is in town to fix up and live in the Grey House, which had fallen into disrepair.
